Last updated: 12 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Afri Globes (“Afri Globes”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you visit afriglobes.com (the “Website”) or contact us with a business enquiry. Afri Globes is a general trading company headquartered in the United Arab Emirates.
We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the UAE Personal Data Protection Law). By using the Website or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
This policy applies to information collected through the Website and through enquiry, quotation and contact channels operated by Afri Globes. It does not apply to any third-party websites, services or platforms that may be linked from the Website, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
We only collect the information we need to respond to your enquiries and operate the Website.
Information you provide to us. When you complete a contact or “Request a Quote” form, send us an email, or message us on WhatsApp, we may collect your name, company or business name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country or market, and the details of your enquiry, including the products, specifications and quantities you are interested in.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, our systems and hosting provider may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring pages, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected through server logs and cookies or similar technologies.
We do not collect payment information. The Website is enquiry-driven. It does not sell products online, and it does not contain a shopping cart, checkout or payment facility. We therefore do not collect card, bank or other payment details through the Website.
We use the information we collect to respond to your enquiries and prepare quotations; to source products, confirm specifications and communicate about pricing, availability and delivery; to manage our relationship with you and provide customer support; to operate, maintain, secure and improve the Website; to comply with legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations; and to prevent fraud and misuse. We may also send you information directly related to an enquiry you have made. We do not send marketing communications unless you have asked to receive them, and you may opt out at any time.
We process your information where it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into, or to perform, a business arrangement; where you have given consent (for example, by submitting an enquiry form or contacting us); where processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as responding to enquiries, securing the Website and improving our services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; and where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to function correctly and to improve your experience. Essential cookies are required for the Website to operate, including for page caching and performance (our caching system helps pages load quickly). Functional and analytics technologies may help us understand how the Website is used so that we can improve it. Embedded content, such as the Google Maps used on our Contact page, may set its own cookies when it loads.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect how the Website functions. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Website and communicate with you, and your information may be processed by them only as needed to provide their services. These include our website hosting provider, which stores the Website and its server logs; Google Maps, which is embedded on our Contact page to display our location; and standard email and messaging services (including WhatsApp) that we use to receive and respond to enquiries. These providers process information under their own privacy terms, and we encourage you to review them.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may share it only in the following circumstances: with service providers who act on our behalf and are bound to protect it; with suppliers or logistics partners strictly to the extent necessary to source, quote or fulfil an enquiry you have made; where required by law, regulation, court order or a lawful request by a competent authority; to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Afri Globes, our clients or others; and in connection with a business reorganisation, merger or transfer, in which case we will require that your information remains protected.
Afri Globes is based in the United Arab Emirates and serves clients across African and other markets. As a result, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries other than your own, including for the purpose of sourcing and coordinating shipments. Where we transfer information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is treated securely and in line with this policy and applicable law.
We keep your information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to your enquiry, to maintain our business records, and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any correspondence and account details you hold confidential.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; to ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; to request that we delete your information where there is no legal reason for us to keep it; to object to or request that we restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting processing already carried out; and to request a copy of certain information in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
The Website is intended for businesses and for individuals acting in a business capacity. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can remove it.
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, including those of brands and suppliers. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be highlighted on the Website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
